He can also help you determine if other corrective surgeries might be better for your eyes including PRK, implantable contact lenses, and clear lens extraction with an intraocular lens implants.
How Do I Know if LASIK is Right For Me?

The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK is to come in for a LASIK consultation. However, first, answer the following questions:
Are you 18 years or older?
Do you currently wear glasses or contacts?
Are you nearsighted, farsighted, and/or have astigmatism?
Has your prescription been stable for at least one year?
Are you in good general health?
Do you have a history of healthy eyes without a previous diagnosis of keratoconus?
Are you currently NOT pregnant or nursing?

If you answered YES to all of these questions, there is a good chance LASIK will work for you.
If you answered NO to any question, it does not mean LASIK won’t work for you, but you will need to talk to Dr. Oswald about your options.
